Position Overview
The HVAC Estimator Assistant will play a key role in supporting the estimating and pre-construction process by assisting with plan takeoffs, specification review, and bid preparation. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual looking to develop their technical and estimating skills in the mechanical construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Process bid invitations, project specifications, and mechanical drawings.
- Track upcoming bids and deadlines, ensuring all documents are processed on time.
- Organize bid folders and documents from plan hosting sites
- Maintain and update estimating bid list, subcontractor lists, and vendor lists.
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to request quotes and confirm scope coverage.
- Track upcoming bids and deadlines, ensuring all documents are processed on time.
- Assist estimators in preparing quantity proposals for HVAC systems.
- Help compile and format final proposals, bid forms, and supporting documentation.

Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Window operating systems.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and components. (On the job training to be provided as well if limited or no experience)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans and specifications. (On the job training to be provided as well if limited or no experience)
