Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department. The ideal candidate will be an energetic professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for quality care, and the ability to inspire a team of dedicated nurses and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of nursing services to ensure the highest standards of resident care.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and best practices in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate nursing staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated resident care.
• Monitor clinical performance, quality assurance, and infection control processes.
• Manage staffing schedules, training, and performance evaluations for nursing personnel.
• Participate in surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
• Minimum 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in long-term care or assisted living.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team with empathy and professionalism.
