Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Urgent Care

Location: Fresno, CA Practice Setting: Urgent Care Clinic Schedule: Full-Time (Part-Time considered, if applicable)

A busy and growing urgent care clinic in Fresno is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys fast-paced medicine, values patient-centered care, and wants to work in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Position Overview

The NP/PA will provide high-quality urgent care services to patients of all ages, treating a wide range of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The ideal candidate is confident, adaptable, and comfortable working independently with physician support available as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent care patients

  • Perform physical exams and medical assessments

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, etc.)

  • Develop and implement treatment plans

  • Prescribe medications in accordance with state guidelines

  • Perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)

  • Accurately document patient encounters in the EMR

  • Provide patient education and follow-up instructions

Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of California

  • Current DEA license (or ability to obtain)

  • Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice experience preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills

  • Excellent communication and patient care skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
