Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer to join our team and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality policies and procedures in alignment with AS9100 requirements, while supporting both internal operations and external customer needs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AS9145 and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies, and will play a key role in training, onboarding, and corrective action processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Policy & Procedure Development
    • Write, review, and update quality policies and procedures to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality requirements into operational processes.
  • Standards & Compliance
    • Apply AS9145 and APQP principles to new product introduction and ongoing production.
    • Conduct internal audits and support external audits to maintain certifications.
  • Training & Onboarding
    • Develop and roll out training programs on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
    • Support onboarding of new employees with quality-related orientation and guidance.
  • Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement
    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for nonconformities.
    • Monitor effectiveness of corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Customer & Supplier Engagement
    • Interface with customers and suppliers to ensure quality expectations are met.
    • Support supplier quality management, including audits and corrective action follow-up.
  • Prepare detailed process documentation
    • including schematics, technical drawings (GD&T), and process engineering reports for industrial equipment and tooling.
  • Support factory experience
    • Ensuring manufacturing equipment complies with safety standards and operates efficiently within the production environment.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications in manufacturing or quality assurance are a plus.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing environments with hands-on knowledge of assembly lines, robotics, fabrication, and tooling.
  • Plating and Paint experience is a big plus.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis tools such as Fishbone diagrams or 5 Whys; experience with continuous improvement methodologies like Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • Ability to utilize inspection systems and industrial equipment for quality control purposes.
  • Deep knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 standards and experience implementing quality management systems within a manufacturing facility.
