Insurance Defense Associate Attorney (3–8 Years Experience)

Location: Dallas, TX
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Dallas office as home base with flexibility)

The Opportunity

This opportunity is well-suited for an insurance defense associate attorney looking to join a stable, well-run litigation practice with consistent workflow and meaningful responsibility. The firm offers hands-on litigation experience, direct carrier interaction, and a supportive environment that allows associates to grow their practices without unnecessary micromanagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defend a variety of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution

  • Handle general liability, premises liability, auto liability, and related defense cases

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and dispositive filings

  • Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations and hearings

  • Assist with trial preparation and case strategy

  • Communicate directly with insurance carriers and insured clients

  • Manage an active litigation docket with increasing independence

Requirements

  • 3–8 years of insurance defense litigation experience

  • Strong experience in Texas state court (federal court exposure is a plus)

  • Proven legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Ability to independently manage files while collaborating with senior attorneys

  • Active Texas bar license in good standing

Compensation & Benefits

  • $145,000–$185,000 (DOE)

  • Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience

  • Open to higher compensation for the right experience
