A highly respected and well-established Colorado-based General Contractor is seeking a Construction Estimator to join its growing preconstruction team in Centennial, CO. This role offers the opportunity to work on large, technically complex commercial projects while collaborating closely with experienced project teams, owners, and design partners.
This position is ideal for an Estimator who enjoys being involved early in the project lifecycle and wants exposure to high-profile, challenging work that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration.
Project Portfolio
The Estimator will support a diverse range of complex commercial construction projects, including:
Healthcare facilities
K–12 education
Higher education / college campuses
Mission-critical facilities
Pharmaceutical / life sciences
Other complex commercial developments
Typical project sizes range from $20M to $100M+.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed cost estimates
Perform quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, and scope reviews
Develop preliminary budgets, cost models, and feasibility studies
Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
Assist with GMP development, buyout support, and value engineering
Participate in constructability reviews and cost-saving initiatives
Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, architects, and owners
Maintain organized estimating documentation and cost histories
Support proposal development and preconstruction presentations
Ensure estimates align with company standards, schedules, and quality expectations
Qualifications
3–5+ years of experience as a Construction Estimator
Experience estimating commercial construction projects $20M+ preferred
Exposure to healthcare, education, or other complex environments a plus
Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
Familiarity with estimating software, spreadsheets, and cost databases
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to meet deadlines
