What You’ll Do
As an Operations Manager, you will:
Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers
Match freight with capacity to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery
Negotiate rates and manage customer and carrier contracts
Coordinate driver assignments, dispatching, and driver pay
Perform yard checks, track chassis, manage empty returns, and ensure port cutoff compliance
What We’re Looking For
Driven, Experienced, and Relationship-Focused
2+ years of container/drayage freight experience
Existing customer and/or carrier relationships
Port experience, specifically Port of Houston (HOU)
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with high self-motivation
Proven ability to manage both carrier and customer relationships
