Commercial Construction Project Engineer

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Client Overview: Our client, a well-established general contractor in the Milwaukee area, is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support their growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of projects, including civic, healthcare, education, and commercial construction. Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of active construction projects

  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Support scheduling, cost tracking, and documentation of project activities

  • Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and design partners to keep projects on track

  • Help prepare RFIs, change orders, and progress reports

  • Visit job sites to monitor progress and ensure safety standards are being followed

  • Provide administrative and technical support throughout all phases of construction

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to fast-paced environments

  • Previous internship or entry-level construction experience preferred, but not required
