Commercial Construction Project Engineer
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Client Overview: Our client, a well-established general contractor in the Milwaukee area, is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support their growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of projects, including civic, healthcare, education, and commercial construction. Responsibilities:
Assist Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of active construction projects
Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance
Support scheduling, cost tracking, and documentation of project activities
Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and design partners to keep projects on track
Help prepare RFIs, change orders, and progress reports
Visit job sites to monitor progress and ensure safety standards are being followed
Provide administrative and technical support throughout all phases of construction
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to fast-paced environments
Previous internship or entry-level construction experience preferred, but not required
