Job Description

 

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Concrete Pump Operator to operate concrete pumping machinery to transfer concrete to construction job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience working with concrete pumps (boom or line) and a strong commitment to job site safety, equipment maintenance, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate boom or line pumps to deliver concrete to designated locations on construction sites.

  • Drive the concrete pump truck to and from job sites in a safe and timely manner.

  • Set up the pump, hoses, and pipes at the job site according to the project specifications.

  • Monitor pump operation and flow of concrete to ensure proper distribution and consistency.

  • Clean and maintain equipment after each job to ensure proper functionality and safety.

  • Communicate effectively with the job site team, including contractors, laborers, and site supervisors.

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the pump truck, reporting any issues to the maintenance team.

  • Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations on site.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pump operation and delivery.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record preferred.

  • Proven experience operating concrete pumps (boom and/or line).

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of pump equipment.

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.

  • Physical ability to lift heavy hoses, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.

  • Strong attention to detail and safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.

  • Knowledge of concrete mixtures and placement techniques.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to dust, noise, heavy machinery, and varying weather conditions.

  • Schedule may include early mornings, overtime, weekends, and occasional travel to remote job sites.
