Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for structural steel fabrication and machining projects. Your expertise will help guide project planning and budgeting, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and requirements to develop detailed cost estimates

  • Prepare and submit competitive bids for fabrication and machining projects

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary information

  • Utilize Tekla software to assist in estimating and detailing (experience with Tekla is a strong plus)

  • Apply knowledge of AWS D1.5 standards and welding requirements to ensure accurate estimates

  • Monitor industry trends, materials costs, and labor rates to maintain up-to-date pricing

  • Review and revise estimates as projects evolve to manage budgets effectively

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of estimating experience specifically in structural steel fabrication and machining

  • Proficiency or strong familiarity with Tekla software highly preferred

  • Knowledge of AWS D1.5 welding standards is a major advantage

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
