Skilled Nursing Facility - Brooklyn, NY

We’re looking for a detail-driven, people-savvy Staffing Coordinator to keep patient care running smoothly. This role is the nerve center between patients, caregivers, recruitment, and internal teams. If you’re calm under pressure, good with people, and allergic to dropped balls — you’ll fit right in.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assess patient-specific care needs to ensure the right caregiver is assigned to each case

  • Schedule caregivers for permanent client cases

  • Manage scheduling for open shifts and short-notice coverage

  • Communicate staffing and hiring needs to the recruitment team

  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding case status changes

  • Maintain accurate scheduling and case documentation

  • Support general office workflow, including answering phones and handling departmental communications

Required Qualifications

  • Pleasant disposition with a genuinely positive, professional attitude

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience supporting general office operations (phones, mail, coordination tasks)

  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow

  • Availability to work weekends and holidays

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • Patients receive consistent, reliable care

  • Caregivers know where they’re going — and when

  • Recruitment gets timely, accurate staffing needs

  • The schedule doesn’t explode when someone calls off (because you already planned for it)
