Job Description

My client is Looking for an energetic Dental Treatment Coordinator with a great personality and excellent communication skills to join our fantastic team. The Treatment Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to explain treatment options and related costs. The Treatment Coordinator is the liaison between the doctor and the patient and assists in gathering information about the new patient experience, as well as coordinating a treatment plan with the doctor and presenting it to the patient. They are a fast-growing state-of-the-art practice with a tremendous focus on customer service. The Treatment Coordinator must be one of the best communicators in practice—the number one responsibility of all employees in patient care and meeting patient needs. My client strives to hire great people from top to bottom to ensure an efficient flow of daily operations, from the reception area to dental assisting staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and improve the performance of dental assistance.
  • Schedule patients’ treatment as they are released from the hygienists. Make journal notes for Patients who do not schedule.
  • Create financial plans and collect treatment money.
  • Follow-up on un-appointed treatment plans. Make notes in the office journal regarding Conversations and attempts to contact patients.
  • Answer calls and schedule patients.
  • Call in prescriptions for surgery cases and make sure all consent forms are signed.
  • Manage dental insurance claims and ensure a positive working relationship with dental insurance companies.
    • Check voicemail throughout the day.
    • Check email and YAPI continually throughout the day.

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate Microsoft office proficiency, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 1 year (Required)
  • Computer Skills: 1 year (Required)
  • Dental office management experience, especially in a multi-specialty office (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Dentrix and Dolphin dental software
  • CPR-BLS, RDA, or other related dental certifications
