Position Overview:
We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Farm Compliance Specialist to support the development and execution of compliance and social responsibility programs across our agricultural operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies around product safety, quality, biosecurity, environmental standards, and customer expectations.
The Compliance Specialist collaborates with site management, operations teams, sales staff, and other compliance personnel to implement and uphold rigorous standards, ensuring safe and responsible practices are embedded throughout our processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of compliance and social responsibility programs.
Ensure products meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulations.
Support the execution of the Compliance and Quality Control program through training, auditing, and documentation.
Conduct internal audits and oversee corrective actions related to regulatory and customer inspections.
Collaborate with operations teams to maintain consistent compliance across all locations.
Coordinate and support external audits concerning food safety, animal welfare, biosecurity, and other regulatory topics.
Manage compliance-related reporting and documentation.
Develop and deliver employee training programs, including train-the-trainer sessions.
Maintain document control records and assist in continuous improvement efforts.
Foster employee engagement and ownership of compliance programs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in agriculture or a related field
Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe DC
Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work across departments
Comfortable working in a dynamic, regulated environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Experience with compliance program development and regulatory audits
Familiarity with fertilizer/soil manufacturing and state registration requirements
Knowledge of poultry production, including animal welfare and environmental regulations
Certifications or ability to obtain certifications such as HACCP, Pesticide Applicator License, and Public Water Operator
Bilingual communication skills (English required)
