A respected and growth-focused grain handling and storage solutions company is seeking an experienced Crew Leader to manage on-site construction crews specializing in grain bin, millwright, and related ag infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily activities of on-site construction crews, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards
- Oversee the erection of grain bins, legs, conveyors, dryers, and other grain handling systems
- Coordinate site logistics, equipment, and materials in conjunction with project managers and support teams
- Train and mentor crew members in safety protocols, construction techniques, and productivity best practices
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including safety logs, progress reports, and timesheets
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers and subcontractors on-site, ensuring clear communication and high-quality service
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations at all times
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience leading crews in grain bin or agricultural construction, millwright, or steel erection industries
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage crews of 3-8 team members on active job sites
- Strong knowledge of grain storage systems, material handling equipment, and construction best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- CDL or willingness to obtain is preferred
- Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays and extended projects out of state
