Job Description

My client is very well known Commercial Drywall Contractor in South Carolina.   They are working exclusively with me to fill a very specific position. Due to growth in the market, they MUST hire a highly skilled Foreman to join their elite team of professionals.

This company is top in the specialty trades, doing some of the most unique and challenging projects in the district- and throughout the area. This drywall contractor recently has taken the initiative to take over the drywall industry. Their workflow has gone up and they have need for an additional Foreman for their team. They have strong connections in the market to keep a solid backlog of projects up and beyond $5 Million. They know their Foreman are worth their weight in gold, so compensation is very competitive.


The right Foreman will be able to serve as lead on projects of all size including ground up & TI’s.

The ideal Foreman should have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in commercial drywall/ framing
  • Ability to read and understand plans
  • Be able to motivate the crews
  • Manage crews of 6+
  • OSHA 10 or more
  • Comfortable using an iPad
  • Can come from a general contractor as well

Duties Include:

  • Management and oversight of project(s)
  • Understanding and overseeing the safety operations of the project to ensure OSHA compliancy
  • Responsible to hold toolbox safety meetings and prepare written reports
  • Ability to organize and lead a group of crew members efficiently to obtain maximum productivity
  • Ability to “look ahead” for material, manpower needs, and RFI’s
  • Ability to accurately complete “layout”
  • Ability to Quality Control throughout the projects and acting as needed and communicate any deficiencies
  • Weekly Reports: time sheets, labor codes, toolbox talks, work tickets
  • Knowledge in both door frame systems and acoustical ceiling
  • Keep a clean and organized job site
