A respected oil and gas litigation boutique with offices in Houston and San Antonio is hiring a Litigation Attorney to join its growing trial team. This is an excellent opportunity for commercial litigators looking to break into the dynamic and lucrative world of oil and gas law—no prior energy industry experience required. Seeking attorneys with commercial litigation experience.

You’ll work on high-stakes disputes involving mineral ownership, lease enforcement, surface use, contract interpretation, royalty litigation, and more. The firm is known for its strategic, trial-ready approach and its strong pipeline of sophisticated matters across Texas and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Litigate oil and gas, contract, and property disputes in state and federal court

  • Handle all phases of litigation: pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, trial prep

  • Attend hearings, mediations, and trials

  • Conduct legal research and draft high-quality memoranda

  • Collaborate with seasoned partners on complex case strategy

  • Manage client relationships with responsiveness and professionalism


Qualifications:

  • J.D. and licensed to practice law in Texas

  • 2–10+ years of commercial litigation experience

  • Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills

  • Eagerness to learn oil & gas law (prior experience a plus, but not required)

  • Trial experience or courtroom exposure highly valued
