Construction Purchasing / Office Assistant

Great Opportunity for a Detail-Oriented Professional –

$22 – $28 per hour, depending on experience.

Must be able to work onsite in our Englewood, CO Office

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys purchasing supplies and supporting operations for a construction company. While the role is titled Procurement Specialist, it functions primarily as an office assistant with purchasing and accounting responsibilities. The position involves coordinating with vendors, tracking purchase orders, assisting with project-related paperwork, and supporting various departments to keep projects running smoothly.

Construction Purchasing / Office Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather purchase requests from various departments and obtain price quotes from multiple suppliers.
  • Prepare and track Purchase Orders (POs) from creation through delivery.
  • Work with vendors to determine best pricing and delivery options.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers for PO approvals and track costs.
  • Assist Accounts Payable with vendor setup, W9s, COIs, and payment tracking.
  • Maintain purchasing and vendor databases and provide tax-exempt information as needed.
  • Support the Projects and Payroll departments with administrative and purchasing tasks.
  • Cross-train and assist other departments as necessary.

Construction Purchasing / Office Assistant Requirements:

 

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), QuickBooks, and general office software.
  • Knowledge of sales/use tax and basic job costing preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced construction office environment.
