Overview: A respected and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its litigation team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience and must be licensed to practice in North Dakota. This is a great opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle complex litigation matters with autonomy and support in a professional, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from initial assignment through resolution
Conduct depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and reports to clients and carriers
Develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients
Represent clients in court and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with the North Dakota Bar
Minimum of 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience
Strong oral advocacy, legal research, and writing skills
Ability to manage deadlines, multitask effectively, and work independently
Trial experience is a plus but not required
