Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense (Remote/Hybrid/Onsite – San Francisco)

A well-established civil litigation firm is seeking experienced civil litigation defense Attorneys to join its growing team in either San Francisco. This role offers flexible work arrangements—onsite, hybrid, or fully remote—depending on your experience. Candidates must reside in California to be considered.

We’re looking for attorneys with a minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense, and ideally 5+ years handling general liability, public entity matters, auto, products liability, and related civil defense cases. Employment litigation experience is a plus but not required. The ideal candidate is someone who can independently manage files and is comfortable with all phases of litigation, from motion work to depositions and summary judgment practice.

Key Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • 3–10 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
  • Ability to manage files independently and drive cases forward
  • Strong experience with law & motion, depositions, and summary judgments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar
