Dermatology Biller - Full-Time

With a foundation built on professionalism and a forward-thinking approach, we utilize the latest in EMR technology, transitioning from EMA/Advanced MD to EMA PM. Key Responsibilities:

• Function in a player role, actively participating in daily billing operations.
• Ensure accurate daily claim billing and auditing, alongside efficient posting of insurance payments (electronic and paper).
• Address and resolve claim edits/exclusions, demonstrating a thorough understanding of billing guidelines and payor requirements.
• Handle prior authorization processes and follow up on unpaid claims to secure prompt payment.
• Utilize insurance appeal experience and manage patient statements, collections, refunds, and account receivables.
• Engage directly with patients to resolve questions related to balances and insurance issues.
• Execute additional duties as requested by Management.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in rigorous medical billing, with a preference for candidates holding dermatology billing and coding experience or familiarity with EMA.
• Proven ability to manage and improve billing processes and workflows.
