Litigation Paralegal -  San Diego, CA

A California-based civil litigation firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join its growing team.  This position supports defense litigation attorneys through all phases of case management and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience with complex litigation support, and be comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated paralegal seeking long-term growth in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and manage exhibits, evidence, discovery responses, and case documents

  • Conduct background checks, jury verdict research, and litigation history investigations

  • Prepare subpoenas, review and summarize records, and draft medical chronologies

  • Liaise with experts, manage communications, and support attorneys in trial prep

  • Assist with voir dire, jury selection, demonstrative exhibits, and witness materials

  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and meet a 1500-hour billable target

Requirements:

  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited institution

  • 3+ years of litigation experience preferred

  • Familiarity with the California Code of Civil Procedure and FRCP

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Highly organized and responsive with a collaborative mindset

  • Trial prep and in-trial experience preferred

  • Proficient in case management and document handling systems

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $70,000–$95,000 DOE

  • 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance
