About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading supplier in the building materials industry, is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee daily operations and drive sales growth at their lumberyard. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in sales, business development, and team leadership. The Branch Manager will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, developing key customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales and business development efforts to expand market share and grow branch revenue

  • Manage day-to-day branch operations, including inventory, logistics, and customer service

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and other key accounts

  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees to achieve performance goals and deliver exceptional service

  • Analyze financial reports, budgets, and KPIs to identify opportunities for improved profitability

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and operational best practices

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Branch Manager in lumber, building materials, or related industries strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and manage P&L performance

  • Strong business development skills with an established network in construction or building supply markets

  • Excellent leadership, team-building, and customer relationship skills

  • Knowledge of inventory management, pricing strategies, and vendor relations

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems a plus
