About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading supplier in the building materials industry, is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee daily operations and drive sales growth at their lumberyard. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in sales, business development, and team leadership. The Branch Manager will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, developing key customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead sales and business development efforts to expand market share and grow branch revenue
Manage day-to-day branch operations, including inventory, logistics, and customer service
Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and other key accounts
Coach, mentor, and develop employees to achieve performance goals and deliver exceptional service
Analyze financial reports, budgets, and KPIs to identify opportunities for improved profitability
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and operational best practices
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Branch Manager in lumber, building materials, or related industries strongly preferred
Proven ability to drive sales growth and manage P&L performance
Strong business development skills with an established network in construction or building supply markets
Excellent leadership, team-building, and customer relationship skills
Knowledge of inventory management, pricing strategies, and vendor relations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems a plus
