Job Description

Attorney – Insurance Defense | Tampa, FL

A respected defense firm in Tampa is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful third-party personal injury cases—primarily motor vehicle accidents and related liability matters—within a collaborative, professional environment that values quality advocacy over volume.

In this role, you’ll manage your own files from intake through resolution, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation. You’ll work closely with carrier clients, develop litigation strategy, and benefit from mentorship and resources that support both your immediate success and long-term growth.

What They’re Looking For:

  • Experience handling insurance defense litigation, with emphasis on third-party personal injury and auto accident cases (premises or construction liability a plus)

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar

  • Confident in managing a caseload independently while contributing to a collaborative team

  • Able to meet a reasonable billable requirement of approximately 2,000 hours annually (about 160–170 per month)

What the Firm Offers:

  • Competitive compensation with performance-based bonuses

  • Manageable billable expectations designed to prevent burnout

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and CLE support

  • Hybrid flexibility depending on experience and performance

  • Strong mentorship, professional development opportunities, and a clear partnership track

  • Supportive staff and steady caseload from longstanding carrier relationships

If you’re ready to advance your insurance defense career in a firm that values balance, results, and growth, this could be the right move.
