Job Description

Gpac is working with a growing award-winning food manufacturer in Central Vermont that is seeking a Maintenance Technician!

This company has been in business for 35 years plus and is growing, dedicated to providing the highest quality products on the market and outstanding customer service.

In this role you would be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment with a special emphasis on production lines and processing equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Able to adjust machines to maximize uptime.
  • Perform preventative maintenance according to company guidelines.
  • Provide technical support for production equipment to ensure that lines are always in operation.
  • Perform technical problem solving and troubleshooting for all equipment and processes.
  • Perform machine setup and machine tear downs.
  • Aid startup process to ensure equipment is operating correctly
  • Maintain and follow GMP’s, Food safety, HACCP, and FDA requirements.
  • Compliance with SOV’s Safety, Food Safety, Quality systems, SOP’s, GMP’s and policies.
  • Provide coverage to support team members.
  • Ability to work cross functionally to achieve outstanding results.
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions regarding resource utilization and needs.
  • Other activities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Industrial maintenance experience preferred, preferably within a manufacturing facility
  • Proven ability to successfully meet customer and management deadlines.
  • Manufacturing experience including electrical and computer programing knowledge.

The ideal Maintenance Technician would be someone very quick on their feet and have strong mechanical, electrical and computer programming knowledge within manufacturing.

Shift Hours: 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.
