Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review construction documents, architectural drawings, and specifications to assess scope and requirements

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates covering labor, materials, and equipment

  • Manage bid submissions for competitive and negotiated work

  • Collaborate closely with project teams and subcontractors during the estimating and planning phase

  • Request and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure thorough and cost-effective proposals

  • Maintain organized cost history and pricing databases to support ongoing estimating accuracy

  • Provide input on value engineering and project development strategies when applicable

  • Assist with post-bid activities such as revisions, change orders, and procurement support

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of estimating experience within commercial or public-sector construction

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field experience preferred

  • Strong proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel and industry-standard estimating software (e.g., OST, Bluebeam, or Sage)

  • Familiarity with construction practices, materials, and current market costs

  • Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines with a high level of accuracy and professionalism
