Position Overview:
The firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience in insurance defense and is confident managing cases independently while contributing to a team-oriented practice. This position offers exposure to a wide variety of litigation matters, including commercial litigation, property damage, and professional liability claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception to resolution.

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and mediations.

  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.

  • Negotiate settlements and collaborate with experts to prepare cases for trial.

  • Stay current with Washington state laws, regulations, and insurance defense trends.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Active membership in the Washington State Bar (required).

  • 2–5 years of insurance defense litigation experience.

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
