Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding (Government Sales)

Location: Falls Church, VA (Remote)

With a focus on innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, we’re looking for a driven Sales Executive to help expand our market share, especially in government and institutional sectors.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Dynamic Sales Executive with a strong background in freight forwarding and logistics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building lasting client relationships, and driving revenue growth. Experience selling freight forwarding services to government agencies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across domestic and international markets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including key decision-makers in commercial and government sectors.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting and quoting to closing and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with internal operations, pricing, and customer service teams to deliver exceptional value and service.
  • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts and reporting to leadership.
  • Keep current on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
  • Navigate and understand government bid processes (e.g., RFQs, RFPs, contract vehicles) – experience with government contracting is a strong plus.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of proven success in transportation, freight forwarding,
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with government or institutional customers is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of international and domestic shipping, including air, ocean, and ground freight.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and a track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and standard sales tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

SALARY:  $70000.00 TO $175,000.00
