Job Title: Corporate and Private Equity/M&A Associate

Salary Range: $130,000–$185,000 per year
Overview:
A leading national business law firm is seeking a talented and motivated associate with 2 to 5 years of experience to join its Corporate Department in Vancouver. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level lawyer looking to develop their expertise in private mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity (PE), and general corporate matters within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise on and manage a range of domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, including:
Private M&A and dispositions
Private equity and growth equity investments
Joint ventures and strategic alliances
Complex corporate reorganizations
Provide guidance on general corporate law and governance issues across a variety of industries
Work closely with clients and senior counsel in a dynamic, high-performance legal setting
Contribute to a culture of mentorship, professional development, and outstanding client service

Qualifications:
Called or eligible to be called to the British Columbia Bar
2–5 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on private M&A, private equity, and related matters
Strong academic background and proven performance in a reputable law firm or corporate legal department
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Team-oriented, proactive, and client-focused approach
