Overview:
A leading national business law firm is seeking a talented and motivated associate with 2 to 5 years of experience to join its Corporate Department in Vancouver. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level lawyer looking to develop their expertise in private mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity (PE), and general corporate matters within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on and manage a range of domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, including:

    • Private M&A and dispositions

    • Private equity and growth equity investments

    • Joint ventures and strategic alliances

    • Complex corporate reorganizations

  • Provide guidance on general corporate law and governance issues across a variety of industries

  • Work closely with clients and senior counsel in a dynamic, high-performance legal setting

  • Contribute to a culture of mentorship, professional development, and outstanding client service

Qualifications:

  • Called or eligible to be called to the British Columbia Bar

  • 2–5 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on private M&A, private equity, and related matters

  • Strong academic background and proven performance in a reputable law firm or corporate legal department

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Team-oriented, proactive, and client-focused approach
