A growing regional law firm is seeking a Corporate Transactional Attorney to join its business law practice. This is an opportunity for a driven attorney to take on leadership-level work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and growth-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in corporate transactions—particularly in M&A, entity structuring, and commercial contract work—and will bring a portable book of business to complement existing firm capabilities.
What You’ll Do:
Represent and advise business clients on corporate formation, governance, transactions, and compliance
Serve as lead counsel on M&A deals and commercial transactions
Draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of business agreements
Develop and manage a personal client portfolio (existing book strongly preferred)
Collaborate with internal teams across practice areas (real estate, litigation, estate planning, etc.)
Ideal Candidate Profile:
J.D. from an accredited law school
Licensed in Missouri or eligible for admission via reciprocity
7+ years of corporate/transactional legal experience
Portable book of business (preferred minimum: $250K)
Proven ability to run deals and maintain client relationships independently
Experience in M&A is critical; other focus areas like real estate or regulatory law are a plus
A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and client-focused culture
What the Firm Offers:
Base Salary: $150K–$170K, depending on experience and client base
Origination Credit: 15% of gross revenue from originated clients
